Comparable to VLC for Android and MX Player Pro, SPLayer - Fast Video Player combines quick performance with a diverse feature set that extends beyond simple video playback. It even supports downloading media over the internet through torrent files or previewing their contents via direct live streaming.

On the surface, SPlayer - Fast Video Player is a simple video player with a clean and modern UI. It supports and can play pretty much all popular formats available today, and it is able to cast your media to a compatible Chromecast device. Controls are gesture-based and you have access to Audio and Brightness Boosters to improve your viewing experience.
Dig a little deeper, and you get access to more features available in this video player. You can create Private Folders, and take advantage of background playback and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode for multitasking. The main highlight, though, is its built-in torrent client that lets you grab media from the internet with unlimited speeds, with support for both .torrent and magnet files.
Even better, you can preview videos without downloading them via live streaming, which is handy because it lets you check for quality and such before proceeding. Unfortunately, when it comes to downloading itself, there is no option to resume from stopped or interrupted ones. There are also the occasional disconnection issues when casting to Chromecast devices. Hopefully, these things will be addressed immediately.
Needs ironing out
As a video player, SPlayer - Fast Video Player is good and works reliably. However, some of its other features can be quite inconsistent and need more work to become more stable.
